美国cannon粘度管原理:本法用以测定透明与不透明产品的粘度,它是在已知的温度下,利用液体本身的重力流动性(gravity-flow)来测定一定体积的液体通过经校正后的毛细玻璃管粘度计所需的时间。根据所测出的动力粘度可计算出公制粘度或优良粘度(dynamic viscosity)。 美国cannon粘度管方法概要:取一定体积的液体在严格的温度与固定的液面高度的控制下,使其流经毛细管粘度计而计算其流经时间。根据流经时间与粘度计的校正常数的乘积即可得动力粘度。   美国cannon粘度管所需仪器: 1.   粘度计: 校正过后的玻璃毛细管,其所测得的粘度能符合于所要求的复验准确度再试准确度。 2.  粘度计支架: 能将粘度计在恒温槽中架持稳固,且能使其垂直竖立。 3.  粘度计调温槽: 内盛装透明液体,能使样品于粘度计内较液面低20mm以下,或高于槽底20mm以上,能保持槽内温度的变动于15至100℃间低于±0.02℃的变化,在此温度范围以外,亦不超过±0.05℃的温度变化。 4.  测温器: 检验动力粘度计的温度计内盛有适当的液体,使之能符合温度范围,温度计使用前均需校正,校正后准确度在±0.02℃,若其它测温器有上述的**度时亦可采用。 5.  定时器: 秒表或弹簧装置的定时器均可使用,但其刻度至少在0.1秒,其测定200秒至900秒的误差在±0.07%以内

Transparent
For transparent/translucent liquids
Suspended Level
For transparent/translucent liquids. Ideal for testing at multiple temperatures because they have the same viscometer constant at all temperatures.
Dilution
For dilution of polymer solutions to provide an estimate of the molecular size and shape.
Reverse Flow
For transparent and opaque liquids. Must be cleaned, dried and refilled between repeat determinations.
Vacuum
A special type of reverse-flow viscometer for highly viscous samples (transparent or opaque). Accurately controlled vacuum is required to pull the liquid through the viscometer.

 
1. CANNON-Fenske Routine Viscometers

The Cannon-Fenske Routine Viscometer measures kinematic viscosity of transparent Newtonian liquids according to ASTM D445 and ISO 3104. Minimum sample volume is 7 mL. Minimum bath depth is 203 mm (8 in). Both calibrated and uncalibrated viscometers are available. Calibrated viscometers include a certificate of calibration and instruction sheet. Holders are sold separately.

2. CANNON-Fenske Opaque Viscometers (Reversed Flow)

The Cannon-Fenske Opaque Viscometer measures kinematic viscosity of transparent and opaque Newtonian liquids according to ASTM D445, ISO 3104 and ASTM D2170. Minimum sample volume is 12 mL. Minimum bath depth is 230 mm (9 in). Special constant viscometers are available at additional cost. Both calibrated and uncalibrated viscometers are available. Calibrated viscometers include a certificate of calibration and instruction sheet. Holders are sold separately.

3. CANNON-Ubbelohde Viscometer 
(凯能-乌氏粘度管)
The Cannon-Ubbelohde Viscometer, with a more rugged design than standard Ubbelohde viscometers, measures kinematic viscosity of transparent Newtonian liquids according to ASTM D445 and ISO 3104. Minimum sample volume is 11 mL. Minimum bath depth is 254 mm (10 in) but it must be submerged to 220 mm (8.5 in). Both calibrated and uncalibrated viscometers are available. Calibrated viscometers include a certificate of calibration and instruction sheet. Holders are sold separately.

Unity factor series has a constant within /- 0.2% of the values listed. Both calibrated and uncalibrated viscometers are available. Calibrated viscometers include a certificate of calibration and instruction sheet. Holders are sold separately.

5. CANNON-Ubbelohde Dilution Viscometers

The Cannon-Ubbelohde Dilution Viscometer measures intrinsic viscosity of transparent Newtonian liquids according to ASTM D445 and ISO 3104. Minimum sample volume is 8 mL (can be diluted to 40 mL). Minimum bath depth is 305 mm (12 in). The CANNON CT-518 bath is recommended. (CT-500 and CT-600 baths are not deep enough.) Viscometer constant is the same at all temperatures. Both calibrated and uncalibrated viscometers are available. Calibrated viscometers include a certificate of calibration and instruction sheet. Holders are sold separately.

6. CANNON-Ubbelohde Semi-Micro Viscometers

The Cannon-Ubbelohde Semi-Micro Viscometer measures kinematic viscosity of small samples of transparent Newtonian liquids according to ASTM D445 and ISO 3104. Minimum sample volume is ~1 mL (sizes 400 through 600 may require additional sample). Initial sample can be diluted as much as 20 mL for intrinsic viscosity determinations. Minimum bath depth is 240 mm (9.5 in). Both calibrated and uncalibrated viscometers are available. Calibrated viscometers include a certificate of calibration and instruction sheet. Holders are sold separately.

BS/IP/MSL Miniature Suspended Level Viscometers

The Zeitfuchs Transparent Viscometer measures kinematic viscosity of transparent Newtonian liquids according to ASTM D445 and ISO 3104. Filling, measurement and cleaning do not require removal from the constant temperature bath. Minimum sample volume is 15 mL. Minimum bath depth is 292 mm (11.5 in). Both calibrated and uncalibrated viscometers are available and provided with permanently attached round or rectangular metal holders. Calibrated viscometers also include a certificate of calibration and instruction sheet.
